You’ve been asking, and Disney listened! During the month of December four new MagicBands will be hitting the shelves at Walt Disney World, and they are designs people have been asking for: Disney Princesses, Minnie Mouse, Sorcerer Mickey and Stitch.
These four designs are considered “Open Editions” – not Limited – and will not make any special sounds or light up in any special way at MyMagic+ touch points throughout the parks and resorts.
All four bands will be priced at $19.95 (plus tax) and will be available in all four theme parks as well as Downtown Disney.
On December 9th Sorcerer Mickey was released; first at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Fantasia Gift Shop at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. They will soon be expanding the release to the other three theme parks and Downtown Disney.
The Minnie Mouse MagicBand was released on December 14th and was available at Mouse Gears at Epcot and select Disney Resort Gift Shops, including Pop Century. Release in the other parks will be coming very shortly; we’re hearing December 15th or 16th.
The Stitch Magic Band is set to be released on December 17th. No word yet on which park will get this band first.
The Disney Princess Magic Band, which will feature Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel and Belle has a release date of December 22nd. Again no word on where the band will hit first.
Which band are you most excited for? I can’t wait to get my hands on the Minnie Mouse edition for our trip in February!

These are available for purchase only in the parks and must be linked to a ticket at time of purchase Wendy. Perhaps someday Disney will offer special bands on MDE!

Will these be available on MDE to customize for upcoming trips?
