The Disney Wonder will be dry docking this week to undergo a series of magical enhancements designed to awe Disney Cruise Line Guests. Here’s a sneak peek of some of the exciting changes:
Tiana’s Place– Disney-goers disappointed that this restaurant never materialized over at Walt Disney World will be pleased to know that this homage to The Princess and the Frog will be fully realized on the Disney Wonder. Be transported to the heart of the Vieux Carre with an enticing menu inspired by Princess Tiana’s delectable dishes and be dazzled by the musical-stylings of a fantastic troupe of Jazz players in this recreation of a traditional New Orleans supper club.
Marvel Superhero’s Academy- The Oceaneer Club gets a comic book makeover with new Marvel inspired activities designed to get kids active and exercising. Spiderman will be there in person to lead the charge and teach kids how to master their own superhero skills. Kids also get an opportunity to put their fancy footwork to action in a computer-generated activity allowing them to move their favorite superheros as they move.
In addition to Marvel’s new offerings, there are an abundance of other delightful changes in store to this children’s zone including the addition of Frozen Adventures:Where Olaf leads little ones through imaginative play with Anna and Elsa stopping by for a surprise visit. Tiny tots will also love Club Disney Junior featuring much-loved characters like Doc McStuffins who will be on-hand to guide little ones through story-times and games. Andy’s Room from the Toy Story franchise will also be recreated on board allowing children to join Woody and Jesse for adventures in this multilevel indoor adventureland. Other changes include enhancements to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and It’s a Small World Nursery.
Cheers. English Pub– Cozy up to the bar and enjoy a series of British brews and specialty beers in this watering hole designed to evoke the spirit of traditional British pubs. Think dark mahogany woods, leather sofas and a good bit of banter while sipping on a pint or two.
Updated Pools, Slides and Water Play Areas- Get your feet wet at Dory’s Splash Zone water play area, head to the Aqualab pool and interactive water play zone or take the plunge on the Twist and Spout waterslide. These are just a few of the aquatic enhancements the Wonder will be receiving in the months ahead.
In addition to all of the fabulous changes listed above, guests can also expect upgrades to the After Hours entertainment district including a shiny new nightclub. Senses Spa and Salon has some exciting changes afoot including a new Chill Teen Spa and Animator’s Palate will introduce two new dinner shows “Drawn to Magic” and “Animator’s Magic Dinner Show.” Cabanas Food Court will also receive a bit of TLC as wiill teen hang-out Edge.
The Disney Wonder will return to sea on November 10 where it will continue Texas sailings to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
