Three New Star Wars Movies Announced at Star Wars Celebrations
Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy announced this morning as part of the Lucasfilm Showcase at the Star Wars Celebration in London that three NEW Star Wars Movies would be coming.

James Mangold and Dave Filoni have signed on as directors of the new “Star Wars” movies and will join the previously announced film from Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
Here is what was announced:
- James Mangold will direct a pre-Old Republic film about the origins of the Force.
- Dave Filoni will direct a film taking place between “The Mandalorian” and “The Force Awakens.”
- Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will direct a sequel, which will take place 15 years after “The Rise of Skywalker.” Daisy Ridley will return as Rey as she rebuilds the Jedi Order in the last of the nine eras dubbed the ‘New Jedi Order’.
