Thomas Mazloum Tapped to Succeed Josh D’Amaro as Chairman of Disney Experiences
A major leadership transition is underway at The Walt Disney Company as the search for Josh D’Amaro’s successor appears to have reached its conclusion. According to a report from Bloomberg, current Disneyland Resort President Thomas Mazloum is expected to be named the next Chairman of Disney Experiences.
This leadership shift comes as part of a larger corporate restructuring following the announcement that Josh D’Amaro will officially succeed Bob Iger as Disney’s Chief Executive Officer on March 18, 2026.

Mazloum is a seasoned Disney veteran with a career spanning over 25 years. He originally joined the company in 1998 as a hotel director for the Disney Cruise Line and eventually rose to lead Disney Signature Experiences—the division responsible for Disney Vacation Club, Adventures by Disney, and the cruise fleet.
In March 2025, he transitioned to the West Coast to serve as President of the Disneyland Resort. During his tenure in Anaheim, he has overseen the massive preparations for the Disneyland 70th Anniversary and managed a workforce of over 36,000 Cast Members.
If confirmed, Mazloum will inherit the responsibility of overseeing Disney’s ambitious $60 billion investment in its parks, cruises, and consumer products over the next decade. This includes high-profile projects currently in development, such as the Avatar-themed land at Disney California Adventure and the highly anticipated Villains Land at Magic Kingdom.
Mazloum’s extensive background in cruise operations is seen as a significant asset, especially as Disney Cruise Line prepares to nearly double its fleet size with the recent launch of the Disney Adventure and several other ships currently under construction.
An official announcement from The Walt Disney Company is expected as early as this week, leading up to the company’s annual shareholder meeting. With the Disney Experiences segment accounting for over half of the company’s total earnings last year, Mazloum will be stepping into one of the most influential roles in the themed entertainment industry.
As the transition moves forward, many are looking to see who will be tapped to fill Mazloum’s current role as President of the Disneyland Resort.
