‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice‘ Starring Nicholas Cage Is Joining the Disney+ Roster. Another Nicholas Cage film is headed to Disney+! Disney’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice will be available to stream starting on October 30, 2020. Though the film will likely be outshined by the premiere of The Mandalorian season 2 on the same day, the 2010 fantasy flick is an exciting new addition to the Disney+ roster and peaked the curiosity of audiences after revealing the iconic Sorcerer’s hat from Disney’s Fantasia in a post credit scene.
“Dave Stutler is just an average guy, but the wizard Balthazar Blake sees in him a hidden talent for sorcery. He becomes Balthazar’s reluctant protege, getting a crash course in the art of magic. As Dave prepares to help his mentor defend Manhattan from a powerful adversary, he wonders if he can survive the training, save the city and find his true love.”
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice stars Nicolas Cage (Balthazar Blake), Jay Baruchel (Dave Stutler), Alfred Molina (Maxim Horvath), Teresa Palmer (Becky Barnes), Monica Bellucci (Veronica Gorloisen), Toby Kebbell (Drake Stone), Omar Benson Miller (Bennet Zurrow), Alice Krige (Morgan le Fay), and Robert Capron (Oliver), Ian McShane (Narrator), with Jon Turteltaub acting as director for the film.
