Michael Ende Productions and See-Saw Films have joined forces in a new partnership to revive the enchanting world of Fantastica through a series of live-action films.

First released in 1979, “The Neverending Story” quickly became a bestseller in Germany and was translated into 45 languages, captivating readers worldwide with millions of copies sold. At its heart lies the tale of Bastian Balthasar Bux, a shy yet imaginative child who stumbles upon the extraordinary book titled “The Neverending Story” while fleeing from bullies. This magical book chronicles the epic journey of Atréyu, a brave hero tasked with saving the enchanting realm of Fantastica—a land teeming with dragons, giants, majestic kingdoms, and treacherous swamps—and its sovereign, the Childlike Empress, from the destructive force known as “The Nothing.”

Adapted from the first half of the original novel, this cinematic gem was succeeded by a 1990 sequel titled “The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter,”featuring almost an entirely new cast.
