Leading man, Pedro Pascal, has won over the Star Wars fanbase with his performance in Disney+ and Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. Recently, Pascal sat down with Screen Slam to share about his experience on the show and revealed the true name of his character that has only been referred to as “Mando”, a slang term for a Mandalorian within the Star Wars universe.
Pedro Pascal revealed, “The Mandalorian — whose real name is Dyn Jarren — is your iconically cool, flawed, mysterious, loner gunslinger that harkens to the best of the samurai movies and the Westerns and in talking to [showrunner Jon Favreau] I asked him what should I be looking at. I know he loves movies. I love movies. What should I be watching? And he immediately brought up Sergio Leone and Akira Kurosawa, Yojimbo, and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. So, he’s very samurai, Clint and me.”

With the raging success of The Mandalorian, it’s no surprise the stars don’t seem to share the spotlight with the shows best kept secret. Especially since it has made the series that much more intriguing to watch. So much so, that the series has become the most in demand streaming show to date!
“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”
