Port Orlean’s French Quarter is a popular resort not only for it’s fun theming and quaint scenery but it’s also famous for its New Orleans style beignets. The French Quarter recently moved their famous beignets from their food court to the all new Scat Cat’s Club Café. The new café is right next door to the food court but now is just a place for beignets and some coffee.

The Scat Cat Club Café

The Scat Cat Club Café has a nice atmosphere and a couple spots to sit and relax. They serve some coffee that is popular in Louisiana called Chicory coffee plus traditional coffee and teas. Jazz decorations fill the walls and is the running theme in the café.

The beignets have also been moved to the Scat Cat Club Café. You can still get the choice of three or six traditional beignets or a chose of some new specialty flavors. The brand new specialty flavors are raspberry, chocolate, and cinnamon sugar toppings. The specialty beignets are $2.99 each or a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

The Chocolate Beignet

All of the specialty beignets are the traditional Mickey-shaped beignets but have a different topping. For the Chocolate Beignet you get a chocolate sauce and some Mickey head sprinkles. The chocolate added a nice touch to the sweetness of the fried dough of the beignet without being too overpowering or sweet.

The Raspberry Beignet

Like the Chocolate Beignet the Raspberry has a light drizzle of raspberry sauce and is covered with Mickey-shaped sprinkles. This was probably my least favorite of the three. I’m just not that big a fan of raspberry and while it was only drizzled on top it seemed pretty strong.

The Cinnamon Sugar Beignet

This was my favorite of the three new specialty beignets. The Cinnamon-Sugar Beignet was so delicious. It brought back memories of eating fried dough at the fair. I would definitely order this one again. It was so good when it was nice and warm. All three of these new beignets are $2.99 each or a dining plan credit as stated above. You can also still get the traditional powdered sugar beignets three for $4.99 or six for $8.49 plus tax.

Make sure to check out the new Scat Cat Club Café next time you’re in Walt Disney World. I really love that they separated the beignets from the rest of the food court and the café is nicely done.
