Jimmy Kimmel Live! Crew to Be Paid as Negotiations Continue
The crew of Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be paid next week despite the show’s indefinite suspension. According to a report from Deadline, a note was sent to staff informing them of the decision, a move seen by many as a positive sign for the show’s potential return to the airwaves.

Negotiations between Jimmy Kimmel and Disney have been ongoing since the network indefinitely preempted the show. The suspension came after Kimmel’s controversial comments regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk, for which Disney reportedly wanted an apology. Kimmel, however, was unwilling to issue an apology on Wednesday night’s show and planned to double down on his remarks and explain how they had been incorrectly perceived.
The decision to pull the show came moments after major affiliate groups, including Nexstar and Sinclair, announced they would not be airing the program. Kimmel is reportedly dedicated to ensuring that any decision he makes does not negatively impact his crew, who have faced a number of hardships in recent years, including the pandemic and writers and actors strikes.
