The Cast of ‘Hocus Pocus‘ 27 Years Later. It’s hard to believe we are nearing 3 decades since the premiere of ‘Hocus Pocus‘ in 1993. The film has since gone on to become a cult classic and a fan favorite around Halloween time. As movie viewers we tend to remember actors in film and television as they were when featured in their most iconic roles, especially when it comes to child actors. It can be a bit of a shock when we see them ” instantly age” when we see an updated photo or appearance. With that being said, we thought it would be fun to see the cast of Hocus Pocus 27 years later!
Check out the main cast of ‘Hocus Pocus‘ in a series of photos comparing the cast “Then and Now”:
1.) Bette Midler (Winifred Sanderson)
2.) Sarah Jessica Parker (Sarah Sanderson)
3.) Kathy Najimy (Mary Sanderson)
6.) Sean Murray (Thackery Binx)
5.) Omri Katz (Max Dennison)
6.) Vinessa Shaw (Allison)
7.) Thora Birch (Dani Dennison)
8.) Doug Jones (Billy Butcherson)
Currently, a sequel to the 1993 Disney Classic is in the works for Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+. Though no formal casting decisions have been made at this time, the original Sanderson Sisters, Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, have all been very vocal about their interest in reprising their respective roles as Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson.
Director Adam Shankman has been tapped to helm the highly anticipated Hocus Pocus sequel, with Jen D’Angelo penning the script. Hocus Pocus is now available to stream on Disney+ and in select theaters for a limited time. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for all things Disney!
