Earlier this year we reported Tatooine Trader would be down for refurbishment starting September 5th. Star Wars Fans, rejoice! We are happy to report that Tatooine Trader has re-opened its doors to guests visiting Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL.
Walking into the newly remodeled store you feel as if you have stepped directly into a shop on Luke Skywalker’s home planet of Tatooine. Showcased along the walls and throughout the store you will find autographed Star Wars memorabilia, Park Exclusive offerings and Star Wars themed merchandise for fans of all ages to enjoy and collect.
From mugs and hats to shirts and bags, Tatooine Traders is your one-stop Star Wars shop.
Guests can also find a unique experience at Tatooine Traders and can construct their own lightsabers! Piece by piece you chose how you wish to build your own unique lightsaber with friendly Cast Members there to help you should you require assistance. Guests can chose to create their lightsabers where two walls inside the store meet. One decorated with heroes from the Light Side of the Force, the other showcasing Sith from the Dark Side of the Force. Will you choose a Blue Saber like Luke and Rey’s? Maybe a Green Saber like Yoda? Possibly a Purple Saber like Mace Windu? Or will you chose a Red Saber like Darth Vader and Kylo Ren along with the other Sith before them? Other options include multiple “blades”, exhaust ports similar to Kylo Ren’s iconic lightsaber, or even multi-colored options. The choice is yours.
Fans since the films first release in 1977 will feel right at home in this well constructed and world immersing store. The Force is strong with this one and we can’t wait to see what the new and exciting offerings Tatooine Traders has to offer guests who visit Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort.
