‘Tangled’ Restrooms Close for Refurbishment
It is a bit of a “best day ever… except when you need a restroom” situation in Fantasyland right now. All three restrooms in the Tangled-themed area at Magic Kingdom are officially closed for refurbishment, leaving this lantern-lit corner of the park temporarily without its usual convenience stop.

The closures began quietly a couple of weeks ago when the men’s restroom first went offline, but now the entire set including the women’s and family or companion restroom has joined the refurbishment list. The entrances to the main restrooms are currently sealed behind maintenance doors with clear signage letting guests know they are closed, while the family restroom has been blocked off with a stanchion and a polite but firm “do not enter” notice.
To help guests navigate the situation, Disney has placed directional signage nearby pointing to the closest available options. If you find yourself caught in a mid-park emergency, your best bets are heading through the Adventureland breezeway or making your way toward the facilities near Pinocchio Village Haus.

This Tangled restroom area has been a fan favorite since it debuted back in 2013, not just for its practicality but for its immersive theming. Between the glowing lanterns overhead and the charming village details, it has long been one of the most picturesque pit stops in the park. While the exterior has received some freshening touches over the years, the interiors have not seen any major updates since opening day, making this refurbishment feel a bit overdue.

Disney has not shared a timeline for when the restrooms will reopen, so for now, guests will need to plan accordingly while spending time in Fantasyland. It is a small detour in the grand scheme of a Magic Kingdom day, but definitely one worth noting before you get tangled up in your next ride lineup.
Here’s hoping the refurbishment brings a little extra polish to this already beloved area and that the lanterns will soon be lighting the way to a refreshed and ready-to-use space.
