Magic Kingdom

A rumor has been circulating online this weekend about the possibility of “talking Mickey” inside the Town Square Theater at the Magic Kingdom will be replaced with a non-talking version. This, of course, being one of the most popular character meet and greets at Disney World, sent fans of “talking Mickey” into a tailspin. (Me included!)

First off, this change has NOT been confirmed by Disney. However, several online have stated that Cast Members have been informed of that “talking Mickey” will be replaced as early as May. Several have cited “cost savings” to be the reason for the change.

Personally, after hearing this rumor, I thought there was no way it could be true. However, after doing some digging, it does sound like “talking Mickey” might really be a thing of the past. We will just have to wait and see. Keep following along as we will pass any information along after it is received by Disney!
