When you stay on Disney property, you have everything you need, right at your fingertips? Right? Usually, that is the case. Small shops at resorts and Downtown Disney can provide some basic needs, there are a few grocery stores right in the area, and Disney even rents their own strollers…uncomfortable and slightly impractical…but you can rent a stroller at the parks. However, there are some businesses that can make your Disney experience even easier and more magical that I want to share with you today.
- Garden Grocer. These people are AWESOME! A week or so before you arrive at Disney, you can place your order on their website for almost anything you’ll need. All your favorite grocery brands are there, and they will deliver right to your Disney resort. Garden Grocer is great if you are flying OR driving. Some perishable items, such as milk & juice, may not travel well in the car. Or, if you prefer to have them bring over some diapers and other toiletry necessities so you don’t have to pack them in your luggage, they’re happy to do so. Their minimum order is $40, and they do charge a $14 delivery fee.
- Kingdom Strollers. Kingdom Strollers is one of the best stroller rental companies in the Orlando area. What is great about Kingdom Strollers is the quality of strollers they provide, and their customer service is unmatched. Let’s face it, Disney rents strollers in the parks, but they aren’t nearly as comfortable or as convenient as renting them from Kingdom Strollers. Even in cost comparison, Kingdom Strollers is better. An average WDW vacation is 4-7 nights. If you rented a stroller from the parks, at $13/day {which is the discounted rate for a multi day stay} you’d pay $72 for four days of renting. Through Kingdom Strollers, it would be $50. And also, their strollers are high quality City Mini, City Elite, BOB, and double strollers as well. Kingdom Strollers is really your best option, and they are wonderful to work with.
- Disney Floral and Gifts. Disney Floral and Gifts, will make any celebration you have at Walt Disney World that much more special. Whether it’s flowers, balloons, or mouse ears, you won’t be disappointed. Our kids love seeing something special come from Disney Floral and Gifts, and many of their packages are centered around a theme. Cars, Toy Story, Princesses, and Pirates are popular. Star Wars, Mickey, and Minnie Mouse are part of some gift packages as well. Or, maybe you have a friend who is taking their family for the first time. How sweet it would be if you sent them a gift, and it was waiting for them upon arrival!
- Disney World Mobile Guide – TimeStream Software announces an update of its Disney World Mobile Guide app for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. This app features a comprehensive list of trip-planning and in-park resources in an easy-to-use design. It provides users with wait times, interactive maps, restaurant listings, menus, park hours, parade and event times, ride descriptions, Disney hotel information, phone numbers, over 300 pages of valuable information and much more, all complemented with over 600 high-quality photos. Recognized as one of the top apps available for Walt Disney World Resort, the new Disney World Mobile Guide Version 1.7 features a wealth of valuable trip-planning and in-park resources, and it’s something you’ll want to add to your “trip planning to do list.”
How do you make your vacation easier or more magical? Have you ever used any of these tips? I’d love to hear about it!
