Stitch Pays Homage to Elvis at Graceland for “Lilo & Stitch” Debut
In an extraterrestrial event fit for a king – the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, that is – Stitch, everyone’s favorite Elvis Presley-loving alien, made a highly anticipated visit to Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, today. The mischievous yet lovable co-star of Disney’s upcoming live-action “Lilo & Stitch” film arrived in true rock ‘n’ roll fashion, pulling up to the iconic Graceland Mansion gates in a vibrant pink convertible, much to the delight of onlookers.

Stitch’s Graceland pilgrimage continued across the street, where he indulged his admiration for Elvis by viewing the legendary jumpsuits and the iconic pink Cadillac housed within the Elvis Presley’s Memphis entertainment complex. His visit culminates this evening with a special screening of the new film at the theater located within Graceland’s luxurious resort hotel, The Guest House at Graceland.

The live-action reimagining of Disney’s beloved 2002 animated classic, “Lilo & Stitch,” is set to wreak lovable mayhem in cinemas nationwide, opening exclusively in movie theaters today, May 23, 2025. Audiences can experience the film in premium formats including Dolby Cinema, RealD 3D, Cinemark XD, 4DX, and other premium screens everywhere.
“Lilo & Stitch” tells the wildly funny and deeply touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl named Lilo and the fugitive alien, Experiment 626 (Stitch), who unexpectedly helps to mend her broken family. The film is directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, the Oscar®-nominated filmmaker acclaimed for “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On.” The screenplay was penned by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes.
The star-studded cast features Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, and Chris Sanders (reprising his role as the voice of Stitch), with Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis, and introducing the talented Maia Kealoha as Lilo. The film is produced by Jonathan Eirich, p.g.a. and Dan Lin, with Tom Peitzman, Ryan Halprin, Louie Provost, and Thomas Schumacher serving as executive producers.
