Make sure not to have too much soda before you sit down to watch this movie. Star Wars: The Last Jedi writer and director Rian Johnson has confirmed that the movie will have a running time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, (150 minutes) including the credits. Thus making it the longest movie in the Star Wars franchise. IGN France attended a European press conference today and tweeted about the runtime. Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones was at a close second at 2 hours and 22 minutes (142 minutes).
#LesDerniersJedi dure 2h30 (generique inclus) confirme @rianjohnson, ce qui en fait le film Star Wars le plus long de la franchise.

With the longer screen time, let’s hope they dig deeper into the storyline and characters. We shall see on December 16th!
