Star Wars Fans Remember Carrie Fisher On The Anniversary of Her Death. Yesterday, December 27, 2020 marked 4 years since Carrie Fisher’s sudden passing. Since then, her fellow cast mates and fans have shared loving stories and fond memories of the iconic actress who won over audiences the moment she confronted Darth Vader and helped to rescue her own rescuer’s in Star Wars: A New Hope.

Leading the charge this year was her co-star and dear friend Mark Hamill. Hamill shared, “Always with Us” along with a screenshot of the dedication to Fisher at the end of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
