According to wdwmagic.com there is a new Disney Dining stand-by policy for Be Our Guest. This restaurant has remained very popular, and I can see why, not only is it beautiful but the food is pretty good too.
Disney is always improving the guests experience so they have come up with a new system to make the wait easier on you. If you get there for lunch and you do not have a FastPass+ reservation you will be given a ticket with a time on it, which is kinda like the old fastpass tickets. You will be asked to return at the time on your ticket. When all of those tickets are passed out then there will be a sign posted saying that no more standby guests will be admitted.
The FasPass+ reservations for lunch at Be Our Guest is currently only for Disney World Resort hotel guests. The new policy means that someone not staying on property can get a ticket.
The table service at dinner will remain the same. We have no idea if this change will stay or not.
What do you think?

I think it is an awesome idea.
I think it’s fair. This way you don’t have to stand in line for one hour – you can enjoy rides and return at your ticketed time. Although my first choice would be to stay on site and get a fast pass.
I would like to know the same thing and do all the party members need to be there to get the ticket or can just one go and tell them how many they need?
Hey Chip, Do you know at what time you can start getting the standby tickets? This is a place I really wanted to show my mom when we go down in September, but we’re not staying on resort.
