Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom will be closing for its annual refurbishment in January of 2022. The closure is scheduled to begin on January 10th through February 10th, with a reopening planned for February 11th, 2022.

The closure of Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom is not a part of the Princess and the Frog update which is coming anytime now to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
It should be noted that Splash Mountain in Disneyland will also be closing for Refurb in January as well.
