Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 to Swing into Theaters in 2026
According to Variety Tom Holland will reprise his role as the iconic web-slinger in the upcoming fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise. The untitled Columbia Pictures project, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is scheduled to hit theaters on July 24, 2026, shortly after the release of “Avengers: Doomsday” on May 1, 2026.

This release strategy mirrors the successful approach taken with “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” which premiered two months after “Avengers: Endgame” and went on to gross over $1 billion globally.
Holland confirmed during a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that production for the fourth Spider-Man film is set to begin in mid-2025. “Next summer, we start shooting. Everything’s good to go — we’re nearly there,” Holland stated. “Super exciting. I can’t wait!”
In a previous interview on the “Rich Roll Podcast,” Holland revealed that he had read a draft of the script and acknowledged that while it “needs work,” the writers are making good progress. He also discussed the challenges of coordinating the film’s production within the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline, emphasizing the need to ensure the project aligns with the overall narrative arc of the MCU.
Holland has portrayed Peter Parker in three previous standalone Spider-Man films, all directed by Jon Watts: “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017), “Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019), and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021). While it remains unclear whether Zendaya will return as MJ, fans are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Holland’s portrayal of the beloved web-slinger.
