Space Mountain NEW Halloween Lights for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. We had such a fun time going to MNSSHP, that we did it the first two nights it was open. During the first night, we totally missed seeing an amazing new addition to the Tomorrowland skyline.
From eating our way through Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween Party to enjoying fireworks, parades, and the stage show, one of the fun things to do is enjoy the rides. Especially the ones that get a spooky or fun-themed overlay during the party.
Space Mountain gets one of those fun overlays, or should I say the building gets the overlay and the ride goes dark. By dark, we mean it goes lights out! You cannot see your hand in front of your face while riding this old-school attraction.
Outside on the well-known exterior roof, Disney Imagineers have added new light effects. Color-changing lights, lights that now go in between the rows in various color schemes, and retro-rockets blasting off and flying around the building.
