South Pacific Island to Accept Star Wars Coin as Currency

South Pacific Island to Accept Star Wars Coin as Currency. The small island of Niue in the South Pacific is accepting Star Wars coins from New Zealand Mint as legal tender. Before you travelers get too excited, the coins are not legal tender in New Zealand and the surrounding islands and only the populous of Niue, approximately 1,311 people, will be able to use the coins as currency.

South Pacific Island to Accept Star Wars Coin as Currency

The coins vary in design including: Darth Vader, Princess Leia, The Millennium Falcon, Kylo Ren, Rey, Boba Fett, and more. That are currently offered in silver and gold coin options. The coins range from $85 to $2,900 USD. You can check out the full list of available coins by CLICKING HERE
