It comes with a heavy heart for many as the signage removed from the Firehouse at Walt Disney World Resort, signifying the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is now closed. Earlier this month, breaking news revealed the beloved interactive game Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom was set to close at the end of January.
As you can see from the photos, the banner advertising the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom has been removed and for the first time since 2012, the doors to the Firehouse are now closed.

We are unsure of Walt Disney World plans are for the Firehouse, so stay tuned!
What was Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom?
The interactive scavenger hunt set throughout the Magic Kingdom was a favourite to both guests and collectors alike. Many started their day in the Magic Kingdom lining up outside the Firehouse on Main Street, U.S.A. to sign up and receive their Sorcerer Key Card, Merlin’s Mystical map and spell cards. Limited edition spell cards were even released at both Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
According to sources, it seems this beloved game was closed due to decreased demand. It seems unfortunately, that Disney will not reinstate this attraction, despite an online petition via Change.org urging to change their minds. Alongside the removal of the signage from the Firehouse the attraction cannot be found on the new Magic Kingdom maps, or even when you try and search Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom on the Walt Disney World website. Instead, the page has been replaced by the Stitch error page saying “this page is unavailable”.
So, with a heavy heart we say goodbye to the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom which is now closed at Walt Disney World.
