Ariel’s Grotto in the Magic Kingdom

Sign removed from Ariel’s Grotto in the Magic Kingdom. The refurbishment monster has come for Ariel and her Grotto. Well at least her sign out front. This is just one of the newer areas undergoing upgrades and refurbishments prior to Walt DIsney World Resort’s 50th anniversary. We expect this to happen at every ride and attraction in the Magic Kingdom, if it hasn’t happened already it is about to. This is just Ariel’s Grotto’s time.

We have previously updated everyone on some of the other main refurbishments going on around the Magic Kingdom. From Casey Jr. Splash area to Storybook Circus, and also Beasts Castle. Along with the major overhaul of Cinderella Castle all the way to the general painting of Fantasyland. Including, the full overhaul of Jungle Cruise.

You can see the brackets that hold the sign-up are looking a little rusty from years of rain and dirt.

Ariel is not physically meeting anyone right now in her Grotto, so this appears to be a great time to spruce up the area. Ariel can be seen on the Princess Cavelcade right now. No word on when in-person characters meet and greet will start again.
