Shula’s Steak House is celebrating 30 years with a revamp of their brand. They are pushing more towards fine dining and less towards the football atmosphere that made them well known. There’s still the tribute throughout the restaurant to founder and Miami Dolphins coaching legend Don Shula but it’s subtle and gives the signature restaurant vibe.
About Shula’s Steak House
Coach Shula opened his first steak house in 1989 and today has more than 25 locations spanning seven states. For the past 30 years his restaurants have had a consistency of high-quality food with amazing staff. Shula’s ranges from casual bar and grill to fine dining steak house.
Shula’s Steak House at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin
We got to visit Shula’s updated restaurant and menu at Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Resort. The atmosphere screams signature restaurant and the updated bar and wine coolers give off a fun but still classy vibe. The restaurant is located off the lobby inside the Dolphin and is small and inviting.
The Menu
We were treated to a full menu from appetizers to dessert and all of it was mouth watering. As soon as we arrived at Shula’s we got to try their signature cocktail which is their Blueberry Martini. It was perfect for the season and was so refreshing and light.
Appetizers
Next came the appetizers. We got to try the Maryland Style Crab Cake, Premium Black Angus Steak Tartare, Tuna Tartare and some amazing Shrimp. All of the appetizers were so delicious and absolutely packed with flavor. One of my favorites was the Tuna Tartare which was diced Ahi Tuna, Red Chili, Sesame Vinaigrette, Avocado Cream and a Crispy Wonton. The Ahi Tuna was incredible and the mix of Avocado Cream and Sesame Vinaigrette made this a top contender for favorite of the night.
Salads
Up next was the salads. We got to try both the Wedge Salad and a Kale salad. The Wedge Salad was amazing with Iceberg lettuce, Tomatoes, Bacon Jam and Blue Cheese Dressing. This salad was simple and so flavor packed. The Bacon Jam was rich and I wish I could of taken some of it home. It was amazing.
Entrees
For the main course we got to try the 22oz Dry-Aged Prime Cowboy, Roasted Brick Chicken, and Pan Seared Sea Scallops. The Cowboy Steak was served medium and served with Truffle Black Pepper Butter. The Brick Chicken was served with Spinach, Mashed Potatoes, and a Sherry Jus. The Scallops were served over Creamed Corn, and Fennel finished with Saffron Corn Crema. It’s really hard to choose a favorite from the entrees. All were delicious and you can’t go wrong with whichever you choose.
Dessert
We finished off the night with some amazing desserts. They consisted of Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Lava Cake, and an Apple Crisp. Chocolate lovers that Lava Cake is for you! The rich flavor of chocolate paired with ice cream and sauces was an amazing way to end an incredible dinner.
Final Thoughts
We’d like to personally thank Chef Ame for an incredible meal from start to finish. It was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. Also thank you to Joe, Katie, and Lisa for hosting such an amazing event. Shula’s Steak House was an excellent experience from the food to the delightful staff. We can’t get over what an amazing night it was. If you’re in Walt Disney World and looking for an incredible dining experience Shula’s Steak House should definitely be on your list.

These pics are going to be the closest thing i get to dining at Shula’s because i’d have to take out a loan otherwise! LOL. I guess I can understand why they want to renovate the restaurant–they probably want to make it more family-friendly (for those with a high budget lol), instead of just gearing it only towards football fans. This new look is much more relaxing. That food looks delicious, though! That steak & chocolate lava cake is making my mouth water! haha #DisneyVacayGiveaway
Swan and Dolphin is a beautiful resort and the drinks at Shula’s looks amazing. I’m not a huge steak fan, but I would go for the atmosphere and maybe meet a few people at the bar! #DisneyVacayGiveaway
#DisneyVacayGiveaway. I have never been to the Swan and Dolphin. This is the perfect reason to go
