Shanghai Disney Resort Rings in 2026 and Officially Kicks Off Its 10th Anniversary Era
Shanghai Disney Resort bid farewell to a blockbuster 2025 and welcomed 2026 with its annual “Ignite the New Year” nighttime spectacular, illuminating the sky with fireworks shaped like “2026” and setting the tone for a milestone year ahead. During the show at Shanghai Disneyland, guests witnessed the first official reveal of the resort’s “10th Birthday” logo, projected onto the Enchanted Storybook Castle in a moment that felt equal parts celebration and invitation to what is coming next.

The newly unveiled logo features a gold and blue design centered on the number 10, layered over the silhouette of the Enchanted Storybook Castle and sprinkled with wishing stars. A plus sign is woven into the design, symbolizing both the Chinese character for ten and the promise of “plus more” magic still to come. Paired with the anniversary tagline “With You, It’s Magic+,” the branding emphasizes that this tenth birthday is about the shared journey between the resort, its cast members, and the millions of guests who have helped shape its story over the past decade. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and friends even debuted festive outfits on Mickey Avenue to ring in the New Year in style.

The celebration capped off an impressive year for the resort, which welcomed its 100 millionth guest in October and continued its reign as the most visited theme park in China. The world’s first Zootopia-themed land remains a major draw, especially with fresh additions tied to Zootopia 2, while guest satisfaction for attractions like Zootopia: Hot Pursuit continues to soar. With major expansions on the horizon, including a Spider-Man themed land, new resort hotels, attraction upgrades, and smoother park entry systems, Shanghai Disney Resort is heading into its tenth year with momentum, confidence, and a whole lot of magic ready to level up.
