‘Shang-Chi‘ Sequel “In the Works” at Marvel Studios. Marvel Studios President and CCO Kevin Feige has shared that Marvel Studios is developing a sequel to the hit new film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The film was an instant hit during its theatrical run this year and the studio is eager to dive deeper into the lore and characters! Reportedly, Marvel Studios is looking to begin filming for Shang-Chi 2 in 2023.

The Shang-Chi sequel will likely join Phase 5 of the MCU along with Deadpool 3 and the rumored World War Hulk. It is currently unknown who would return for a second Shang-Chi film, but we fully expect the return of Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Awkwafina as Katy, and Meng’er Zhang as Xialing.
