SeaWorld Orlando's Seven Seas Food Festival Offers Fresh New Tastes From Around the World

SeaWorld Orlando opened the all-new Seven Seas Food Festival, for its inaugural year, on February 11, 2017.  Upon arrival we were handed an event guide and Food & Brew Sampler with 10 samplings.   The Food & Brew Samplers come in 10 samplings for $40 and 15 samplings for $55.  We were told that this amazing new festival has replaced Viva la Musica and the Bands, Brew, BBQ events.  We believe you will understand why this one festival can replace two when you experience Sea World Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival as it offers Live Music and fresh new tastes from Around the World.

Local artists will perform on the stage that is set up along the Bayside walkway near the Beer Huts.  There are concerts at Bayside Stadium featuring headliner performers.  The schedule of headliner musicians and performers is as follows:

  • February 11th ~ Lynyrd Skynyrd
  • February 18th ~ Lee Brice
  • February 25th ~ Bill Engvall
  • March 4th ~ Styx
  • March 11th ~ Justin Moore
  • March 18th ~ ZZ Top
  • March 25th ~ Phillip Phillips
  • April 1st-2nd ~ Jack Hanna

SeaWorld Orlando's Seven Seas Food Festival Offers Fresh New Tastes From Around the World

Chef Hector Colon is such a nice guy.  We enjoyed speaking with him.  He was given full reign to use his knowledge and expertise to incorporate new flavors and innovative dishes for the Seven Seas Food Festival.  Chef Hector Colon and his team have done a magnificent job with the menus for this new festival.

One of the things we found to be interesting about the menu boards is that two sides of each board give historical facts about the country represented and also some cool facts about the origination of the food items.

The other two sides of the menu boards list the menu in English on one side, and Spanish on the other.

The food kiosks were very interesting with the Asian Market being our favorite with regards to decoration and representation.

The food was fantastic.  Pictured are as follows:

  1. Cheese Grits & Shrimp Casserole from Gulf Coast Market.
  2. Loco Moco, Hawaiian Pulled Pork Slider and Ahi Tuna Tartar from the Polynesian Market.
  3. Grilled Cheese Pound Cake from Pacific Coast Market.
  4. Salpicao Brazilian Chicken Salad.
  5. Grilled Lamb Chop from Mediterranean Market.
  6. Sea Scallops Provencal from Mediterranean Market.
  7. Coconut Shrimp from Florida Market.
  8. Shrimp Mac & Chesse from Florida Market.
  9. Vietnamese Shrimp Spring Rolls from Asian Market.
  10. Peking Duck Lo Mein and Sparkling Pear Beverage from Asian Market.
  11. Mushi-Gyoza from Asian Market.
  12. Peking Duck Lo Mein from Asian Market.
  13. Vietnamese Shrimp Spring Rolls,  Toffee Banana, Mushi-Gyoza and Peking Duck Lo Mein from Asian Market.
  14. Korean BBQ Rib from Korean Market.
  15. KoreanBBQ Rib, Korean Beef Tacos and Roasted Sweet Potato Taco from Korean Market.

The non-alcoholic beverages we sampled were the Brazilian Frozen Lemonade from Brazilian Market and the Sparkling Pear from Asian Market.   The beverages with alcohol are the Blue Frozen Lagoon Punch from Asian Market, Watermelon Slushy from Korean Market and Yu Ku Sake Coconut Nigori from Korean Market.  Our personal favorites were the Brazilian Lemonade and the Watermelon Slushy.

If you enjoy Beer then you will really enjoy the Brew Huts located along the Bayside Walkway.  The beer samplings are from all around the world.

If you enjoy sweets then you are in for a real treat with the Seven Seas Food Festival.  We sampled six different sweet treats.  They are as follows:

  1. Marshmallow & Nutella Empanada from Mexican Market
  2. Fried Kataifi Orange from Florida Market
  3. Hawaiian Pineapple Dream Cake from Polynesian Island Market
  4. Chocolate Tres Leche from Caribbean Market
  5. Toffee Banana from Asian Market
  6. Bingsu Salted Vanilla Ice Cream

Our favorite for flavor was the Hawaiian Pineapple Dream Cake while our favorite for presentation was the Bingsu Salted Vanilla Ice Cream.
