SeaWorld Christmas Celebration

SeaWorld Christmas Celebration Review. Guests are invited to gather their family and meet their festive friends at SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration, taking place from November 12 through January 2.  Experience SeaWorld as the park is transformed into a winter wonderland with more than 3 million sparkling lights. Let us give you our experience of this joyous night. From classic Christmas music by Icon Darlene Love to Big Bird dancing in front of us, all the way to snow falling all over the Sea of Delight neighborhood and all the Holiday food Seaworld offers.

We had a few minutes prior to the start of the Holiday event and got a chance to meet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and other characters like the Bumble, and Sam the Snowman. Over the years this continues to be our benchmark meet and greet for the Holidays. Can you get more Christmas than Rudolph and friends? It honestly was cool to see Sam this year, we had not seen him in the past. Rudolph’s ChristmasTown is fun for everyone!

We had to drag ourselves away from Rudolph to go see the other iconic Christmas characters at Sesame Street Christmas Parade. The whole family will experience an energetic SeaWorld Christmas Celebration with Sesame Street friends, including Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Bert, Ernie, and more. We clocked the parade in at just about 13 minutes. The only thing we can say is, it is a must-do. Get there early as the walkway fills up quickly.

The Nautilus Theater was the performance space for Darlene Love. She is the hitmaker of such classics as Christmas, Baby Please Come Home and many many more. Once you hear her voice, you know instantly the many hits she has. She sang great and the theater was decorated and was a pleasant place to watch her show. If you call yourself a SeaWorld Christmas Celebration, you must have the Holiday hits playing, and bringing Darlene Love in was a smart idea.

Food was next on our list, with booths all around the park we had our choice of delectable savory food. Plus more snacks and treats than we could possibly eat. Stands out for us, the Lamb Chop, the Sliders, and the Turkey Dinner.

We did try some awesome snacks, the chocolate-covered bacon is good when warm. Our favorite from last year, S’mores Cheesecake cones, made a return and tasted exactly as we remembered. Mini donuts are always good. Also, we didn’t let our Hot cocoa get cold or empty! With over 10 flavors, there is a drink for every taste.

SeaWorld Christmas Celebration continued for us with a walk through the snow falling. It was intense in some areas and just flurries in others. I think the location of the snow really was well done. The lights all around and the archways all lit up made for a magical 10 minutes of fun. I almost felt like I was back up east right after Christmas when that first snowfall happens and the lights are still up. Just magical.

With the darkness of night comes the Lights all around, and SeaWorld Christmas Celebration does not hold back on the lights. The Sea of Trees show on the water is beautiful with so many trees lit up and the largest tree full of LED lights, it is worth stopping at watching the show play once an hour.

Our night ended with Winter Wonderland on Ice and Holiday Reflections Fireworks show. We always enjoy the Ice show. There is something special about seeing Ice Skating outdoors in Orlando! The skaters and the show are beautifully done with some well-choreographed moments. Also, added this year was the Fireworks immediately following. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful evening.

We recommend SeaWorld Christmas Celebration for the whole family. It remains our favorite Christmas party in the central Florida area. With plenty of good food, and if you buy the Food Sampling Lanyard, you can save almost 50% off. The additions of street performers and fireworks and concerts made a huge difference this year and added a lot of fun for us. Ice Skating, Sesame Street, and Snow flurries all add up to a perfect night out.
