Disney and Points of Light are searching for the Volunteer Family of the Year for 2019. Families that volunteer together spend special quality time with each other while they help out an organization in their community.
So how do you nominate a deserving family? Schools and nonprofit organizations that are registered with the Disney Family Volunteering Reward Program can nominate families that reflect the incredible power of volunteering together.
Nominations are open from now until June 20, 2019. The selected family will participate in a unique service project arranged by Points of Light at Walt Disney World Resort in November. The event coincides with National Family Volunteer Day!
Bob Chapek, Chairman of Disney Parks & Experiences states:
“Family volunteering deepens bonds, and strengthens communities—and with a little pixie dust in the form of a visit to our parks, this program has made a significant difference.”
Since it’s launch in 2018, the Disney Family Volunteering Reward Program has 500,000 volunteer members from over 84,000 families. That adds up to 2.2 million hours of service. See the details by the numbers:

Volunteering as a family has so many rewards, not only for the service you are providing but the quality time your family gets to spend together. You can earn points to receive complimentary park tickets from Disney too!
