We are one step closer to an “Incredible” Contemporary Resort! The entire resort has been undergoing refurbishment, and the rooms in the Main Tower have been hidden by scrim as they are transformed. However, with less than a week left until the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration begins, the scrim has started to come down. The rooms will be ready just in time!

The updated rooms will include an Incredibles-themed overlay. We’ve already seen a sneak peek of the new rooms and they have a very sleek and modern look. Favorite characters from the popular Pixar franchise “The Incredibles” can be spotted around the room. You’ll see pillows and artwork with Jack-Jack, Frozone, and Edna Mode. Painted in the back of the closet, you may even be lucky enough to have super suits! So if you’ve ever dreamed of calling out “Where’s my super suit?” now is your golden opportunity!

All nine floors of guest rooms have been under construction since April 2021, but upper floors and walkways are now visible. The scrim was particularly important as the lobby areas remained open to guests and falling debris would have been an unacceptable risk. While we applaud the safety measures, we are relieved that the Contemporary Resort will have its beautiful interior restored. Nobody ever said refurbishment was pretty!
