Halloween Party

Those curious as to how Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will play out this year will be pleased to know that Disney is gradually starting to release schedules for the spooky evening festivities.  Though it still appears to be a work in progress, get your Autumn touring plans at the ready because here’s what we know so far:

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular –  The Sanderson Sisters are back and will be joined by Dr. Facilier, Malificent and other Disney baddies in this not-to-be missed Halloween treat.  The show will feature dances, sinister projections and spooky special effects and is scheduled to take place several times nightly.  The timings go through several incarnations so here’s a breakdown:

  • September 2nd  – September 13th: There will be three shows nightly at 9:15pm, 10:40pm and 12:00am
  • September 16th – September 30th: As in previous years there will be four shows nightly at 8:00pm, 9:15pm, 10:40pm and 12:00am.
  • Month of October: As we near Halloween, the show will continue to be offered four times nightly but the 8:00pm show will be changed to 7:45pm.

Cadaver Dans – Visitors to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will once again have an opportunity to enjoy the Halloween-inspired stylings of this ghostly group of entertainers.  Located in Frontierland, Cadaver Dans will take you through rousing renditions of spooky Disney classics like “Grim Grinning Ghosts”, “Cruella DeVil” and the “Oogie Boogie Song” among others.  Performances remain consistent throughout all of the Halloween parties and will take place 5 times nightly at 7.15pm, 8:00pm, 9:15pm, 9:55pm and 10:50pm.

Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade – Lead by the Headless Horseman, this eerie procession featuring ghosts and ghouls from the Haunted Mansion is scheduled to delight guests twice nightly.  During the month of September the parade will take place at 8:30pm and 11:15pm.  In October, the first showing shifts to 8:15pm.

Celebrate the Magic – Watch as Cinderella’s Castle is magically transformed to set an ominous Halloween-inspired scene for the fireworks that follow. Featuring Disney Villains galore, this nightly event will take place at 10:00pm throughout September and October.

Happy Hallowishes Fireworks – The Ghost Host from the Haunted Mansion welcomes guests to this bone-rattling version of Magic Kingdom’s much-loved evening fireworks display.  Watch as Disney Villains unleash their fury in the night sky.  The event is set to the soundtrack of some of Disney’s scarier songs including “Poor Unfortunate Souls” and well as numbers from The Nightmare Before Christmas and even Peter Pan’s “Never Smile Crocodile”.  The pyrotechnics will kick off nightly at 10:15pm throughout September and October.

Magic Kingdom’s Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball is slated to return this season as well and appears on the daily park schedule from 7pm – 12am though no further information has been given as of yet regarding a definitive location for the event.  Watch this space for further details.

In addition to the Scary Character Greetings taking place during the Halloween Party, many of Disney’s regular character will be hanging around well into the evening hours with (Talking) Mickey Mouse, Tinkerbell, and the princesses over at Fairytale Hall all scheduled to greet guests from 7pm- 12am during party nights.

Guests should note that all of the events schedules as part of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are subject to change without notice.

  1. Yes, this is a ticketed event and you must purchase tickets to the party. You will get an armband showing you have paid for the event. If you don’t you area asked to leave the park by 7pm.

  2. I will be at the Magic Kingdom Sept. 17. Are the Mickey’s Spooktacular tickets extra or included if you’re already in the park?

  3. I can’t wait for the Halloween party! It truly is their best event of the year and with this schedule it looks like this year won’t let me down.
