Saving Mr. Banks Arrives On Blu-Ray And DVD March 18th!

Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson tell the backstory of one of Disney’s most beloved films –Mary Poppins – in this heartwarming film. Hanks plays the role of Walt Disney – who is determined to fulfill a promise he made to his daughters to make P.L. Travers’ (played by Thompson) book into a big screen feature

Travers proves to be a hard sell – and is stubborn to a fault, until Disney is able to eventually dig deeper and use his own past to help discover Travers’ fears, and allow them to work together as one to help create the iconic Mary Poppins

John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) directed Mr Banks, and a well rounded supporting cast includes Colin Farrell, Jason Schwartzman, Paul Giamatti, Ruth Wilson, and Kathy Baker

The release includes Blu-Ray, Digital, DVD, and On-Demand versions of the film, with Digital High Definition picture and sound, and included on the disc set is never-before-seen bonus features like “Let’s Go Fly A Kite” – a rendition of the iconic song sung by the whole cast and crew, deleted scenes, and an insider’s tour of the Disney Studios led by director John Lee Hancock

I personally cannot WAIT to get my hands on a copy of this on March 18th – Tom Hanks has always been one of my favorite actors, and to get to see him play the role of one of my icons – Mr. Disney himself – is just a match made in heaven!
