Samuel L. Jackson to Star in New Marvel Studios ‘Nick Fury’ Disney+ Series. Through an exclusive report, Variety shared that a Nick Fury based series starring Samuel L. Jackson is on the way to Disney+. Variety shared, “The exact plot details of the show are being kept under wraps, but multiple sources say Jackson is attached to star with Kyle Bradstreet attached to write and executive produce. Like all the other Marvel shows at Disney Plus, Marvel Studios will produce.”
Jackson made his MCU appearance as Director Nicholas J. Fury in the now iconic Marvel Studios post credit scene after the first Iron Man film in 2010. Since then, her has gone on to be featured or made a cameo appearance in 11 of the MCU films and will reprise his role in the upcoming Marvel and Disney+ series, What If…?.
Samuel L. Jackson is also rumored to be starring in another series reportedly in the works for Disney+. Rumored to be in development for the streaming service is a Mace Windu Star Wars series, but Jackson would merely make appearances as the older version of the Jedi Master as the series is set to focus on a younger version of the character during his formative years.
It is currently unknown if the series will take place in the past, like his appearance in Captain Marvel, or will showcase his new endeavors since we last saw him exploring the galaxies. Neither Disney or Marvel Studios have confirmed the news of a Nick Fury based series for the streaming platform at the time of writing, but be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Disney+ and Marvel!
