Universal Orlando Rumor: Halloween Horror Nights Multi-Night Tickets Will Not Include Express
Ghoul-friends and scare addicts, this one might haunt your budget planning. A new rumor swirling through the fog suggests that Universal Orlando may be ditching the Express Pass add-on option for 2025 multi-night Halloween Horror Nights tickets, like the popular Frequent Fear Pass.

Historically, HHN diehards who invested in multi-night access had the option to upgrade their terror with an included or add-on Express Pass, saving time (and sanity) when hitting house after house. But the current rumor suggests 2025 may be the first year those passes will not include or offer any Express access at all, unless you’re buying single-night Express separately.
And that’s where the screams of frustration might begin.
This would mark a major shift in HHN strategy. Let’s rewind the fog machine:
- In 2023, HHN Express lanes became congested nightmares of their own, with guests grumbling about long waits even with Express.
- In 2024, Universal reined things in, selling fewer Express upgrades, leading to noticeably smoother Express experiences and happier haunters.
- In 2025, rumor has it Universal is doubling down on that approach. The plan? No more bundled or discounted Express add-ons for multi-night passes. If you want to skip the regular lines, you’ll need to fork over the big bucks for single-night Express each time you attend.
That could mean a scary increase in cost for Frequent Fear Pass holders who plan to attend multiple nights and want to scream their way through houses at half the wait time.
Timing-wise, this rumor is hitting just before Premier Annual Passholders can begin reserving their complimentary HHN night this Thursday, which only adds fuel to the speculative fire. Could multi-night tickets drop the same day without Express options? It’s looking increasingly likely.

While nothing is officially confirmed by Universal just yet, this move would certainly fit their recent strategy of protecting the value of Express—aiming for it to be around 50% of posted wait times, not just a slightly faster version of the standby line.
So for now, consider this rumor “pending doom”, but be prepared: If it’s true, you might have to choose between more nights at HHN or fewer hours waiting in line—because affording both could be a real scream.
