Rosario Dawson shares Grand Admiral Thrawn coming to Disney+ series Ahsoka

Ahsoka Tano is on the hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn in her upcoming Star Wars series on Disney+.

The next live-action Star Wars series is officially in production! Rosario Dawson is starring as the fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano, who is quite popular on the animation side of Star Wars. Ahsoka is the former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker and made her live action debut in the second season of The Mandalorian

Ahsoka is a continuous story,” Filoni said recently about the series. “It is definitely driving toward a goal, in my mind, as opposed to being little singular adventures. That’s what I want the character to be doing, and I think that’s what fans want now. They have such a relationship with her. I’ve only recently started to understand that all those kids that watched Clone Wars are now a lot older—they’re very excited about all the things they grew up with, as they should be.”

The upcoming limited series is written by Dave Filoni and executive produced by Filoni and Jon Favreau.

Star Wars will be keeping its formula for live-action TV alive in Ahsoka, by giving fans live-action adapations of popular characters like Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), Thrawn, and Ezra. Plus, both Chopper and Hera are confirmed to be appearing in the series, too!

The appearances of the Star Wars Rebels characters in the Ahsoka is quite exciting for long-time fans of the animated series.

A production listing for the series previously teased that the show’s plot would be about Ahsoka continuing to hunt down Grand Admiral Thrawn and search for Ezra Bridger. Neither of those roles have been cast as far as we know just yet but filming on the series has officially begun.
