Pavement Removed Near Indiana Jones Exit at Hollywood Studios as Construction Expands
A small but noticeable construction project is underway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where crews have torn up pavement near the exit of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. The area, which previously housed a merchandise kiosk, is now reduced to dirt and construction materials as work continues behind rolling planters.

The construction footprint has expanded slightly in recent weeks, with shrubs and planters now blocking off a small staircase that once served as an alternate exit path. The main exit remains open, but the changes are hard to miss as a large patch of concrete has been removed entirely. This follows earlier work in the area, including the removal of a net shade structure and a themed shed.
The kiosk itself never reopened after the 2020 park closures, and its prop truck was removed back in 2021. Since then, the space has been used intermittently for vending carts and meet and greets, making this latest round of construction feel like a more permanent reset for the area.

Disney has not announced what is coming next, but given the location just outside Backlot Express, a refreshed kiosk or small guest offering seems likely. For now, it is a bit of a mystery dig site, with fans left to speculate what might rise from the dust once construction wraps.
