Yeehaw!! We recently and scoped out the construction of Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios. All indications are that the construction of this exciting new table-service option is moving forward! The all-to-recognizable green construction wall remains erect outside of the main entrance to the restaurant with two concept art renderings and some famous Disney quotes prominently displayed. Even construction sites look magical at Disney!
The entrance is located just past the Woody statue on the right at the entrance to Toy Story Land. Relatively tucked away, the construction efforts are not as obvious as some of the other projects underway at the parks. However, we are sure that once it’s complete, the restaurant will be impossible to miss. The appeal of a new table-service restaurant in Toy Story Land will also be impossible to miss! Currently, the only dining option in Toy Story Land is Woody’s Lunch Box which is temporarily closed during this phase of the parks reopening. We love the grilled cheese and tots at this quick-service location, but we are excited to see a new dining option come to Toy Story Land!
Without setting an official opening date, Disney has not indicated a change from a target opening date sometime in 2020. Will the restaurant require an ADR (advance dining reservation)? Will it accept the Disney Dining Plan? The answers are still undetermined, but both will likely be incorporated as it will be a popular dining experience. Based on Disney’s concept description, guests will have an immersive dining experience in a festive rodeo setting constructed entirely out of Andy’s toys! Expect to see some of your Toy Story favorites as well as some other Pixar headliners. Disney provided a preview description last year and we are very excited to live the experience soon!
Stay tuned for more information on Roundup Rodeo BBQ construction updates!
