Review: Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension on Nintendo Wii

I had the pleasure this past week in trying out the all new Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension Video Game! Let me just say this game RAWKS!

I had a lot of fun playing this game. Now keep in mind this is a kids game so I am not saying that the gameplay is super challenging or there is major strategy involved. What I am saying is that it is a fun game you can pickup and play. My 5 year old who watches the show from time to time and watched the Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension Movie the other night on the Disney Channel really liked it to.

It took her a little bit to learn how to use the nun-chuck to control the characters. She did get a little frustrated with the camera but we have gotten use to that with Wii games so we overlooked it.

One of the highlights was the weapons. I like being able to upgrade them and there was a good mix of different ones available. You had the choice to be able to upgrade damage, range, etc. So depending on your playing style that was a much appreciated feature.

The storyline was decent and was adapted from the movie. All your favorite characters from the show made appearances and would talk and guide you along the way.

I think the boss fights were challenging but not to overwhelming. I am an explorer by nature and had more fun trying to find the gold coins every level. The Mini Games were interesting and difficult to control. I had some strange issue with the Skeet Ball but it didn’t really impact the game.

Overall this is a great game to add to your Disney video game library. If you are a fan of the tv show you will really love this game. You can overlook the few flaws the game has but they are nothing that will prevent you from playing and enjoying it. I give it a 7/10.

If you have played the game tell me what you thought in the comment box below.
