Review Of A Pirate Themed Room At Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is a Moderate Resort located in the EPCOT Resort area.  Fun fact: It is one of the first resorts on Disney property!  The Caribbean-themed resort is made up of 5 different islands or sections.  These are Martinique, Barbados, Aruba, Jamaica, and Trinidad.  Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort recently underwent extensive renovations which saw some of the resort re-imagined.  Work is still being performed on both Disney’s Riviera Resort and the Disney Skyliner.  The Disney Skyliner will connect select resorts with EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

I recently was able to stay in a Pirate Themed Room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.  If you ever have the opportunity to stay in one of these themed rooms, I highly recommend it.  You are completely immersed in the pirate theme in these rooms which is fun for both children and the young at heart!

Pirate Themed Room Categories

There are two different categories of Pirate Themed rooms – Standard View and Water View.  The Standard View, which is where I stayed, includes views of the Resort Hotel, Courtyard, or Woodlands.  If given the opportunity, I would recommend checking out the Water View room category as this would be a young buccaneers dream! The Water View Room includes views of the Lake or Pool.   Can you imagine looking out and seeing the water while playing in this room?  It would be amazing!

Regardless of which view is chose, the room will be located in the Trinidad section of the resort.  The Trinidad section buildings have two floors and there are no elevators here.  If you will have a stroller with you, especially one that is a double, you will want to be sure to request a ground floor. There is a new quick-service food location in this section (Spy Glass Grill) so hungry pirates can get some grub!

Pirate Themed Room Specifics

The Pirate Themed rooms include 2 double beds that are shaped like pirate ships.  The whole family will have fun imagining that they are swabbing the deck and chasing after buried treasure!  Take a close look at the floor.  You will see that it is actually a pirates map! Surely this will sure to help young ones find the buried treasure.

Speaking of buried treasure, the beverage cooler is hidden in a barrel.  How cool is that?

In fact, barrels and boxes can be found throughout the room which double as a nightstand and a dresser.

There are pirate photos hanging on the wall such as this one of Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow!

A pirate-themed curtain separates the bathroom area from the bedroom.

The vanity area is separate from the tub and shower and includes two sinks.  There is space to hang your clothes in this area as well.

The shower curtain even has a pirate theme!

Speaking of the shower, the toiletries are located in refillable pumps.

The design of the Pirate Themed rooms is spot on.  They also fully immerse those staying in one into a pirate’s adventure.  The rooms perfectly lend themselves for imaginative play in both the young and young at heart!
