Monkey Kingdom DVD

A little background, DisneyNature brings us the story of Maya and her family on Digital HD, DMA and Blue-ray combo pak. Ready just in time for the fall season, Monkey Kingdom will be available on September 15, 2015. Order your copy and Disneynature will donate a portion of the first-week’s sales to the Conservation International to help protect endangered species in their natural habitats.

Monkey Kingdom, narrated by Tina Fey, introduces us to Maya and her baby. Set in the ancient ruins in the jungles of South Asia, Maya and her extended family share their lives and struggles as they try to survive in the all too real animal world. Full of amazing footage and sometimes hilarious moments, Monkey Kingdom shows that no matter where you stand in the family tree, you are important and can do your part to help out.

If you are into animals and nature than you will love this installment in the DisneyNature series. Honestly, I had doubts that I would be able to watch it all the way through. I was pleasantly surprised, but than again it is made by Disney. This movie is cute, touching, and funny all rolled into one. I do like that is was narrated by Tina Fey. I would not have expected that, but I do love her. Basically you get to follow the moneys around their home in Sri Lanka. It is interesting seeing them in their natural habitat. They have to deal with some of the same issues that we do but just a tad bit different. Some if it does seem a bit staged, but that might just be the Disney magic! Them crashing the kids birthday party was the best. This is great for kids and family movie night. It is also educational. Does it get any better than educational and fun?

Last but not least the bonus features:

Tales from the kingdom: Check out what it took to film the movie

On the set of Money Kingdom with Jane Goodall and Wolfgang Dittus: The famous Jane Goodall talks on the set

DisneyNature Monkey Kingdom the Conservation Story: Tells us about conservation efforts and how they are helping merge the world of wildlife with the human world.

It’s our World Music Video performed by Jackie Lee and A special thank you from DisneyNature

I give this move a B –
