Chef Maneet Chauhan and Vivek Deora are taking their culinary expertise and bringing it to Disney Springs with the opening of EET. This modern and fun Indian-inspired concept promises to be a culinary adventure for guests, combining the rich flavors of India with the enchantment of Disney. As they embark on this new venture, we can expect Chef Chauhan’s energy, creativity, and polished culinary skills to once again prove to be the perfect recipe for success.

According to her Food Network bio, Chef Maneet Chauhan’s passion for the culinary arts began at a young age, nurtured by her experiences in India and the United States. Her journey started in her homeland, where she graduated at the top of her class at the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration, India’s leading culinary and hotel management school. After honing her skills at prestigious hotels and kitchens such as the Taj Group, Oberoi Hotels, and Le Meridien, she ventured to the United States to attend The Culinary Institute of America, graduating with high honors and earning all the awards in her class.

Throughout her career, Chef Chauhan’s culinary prowess has garnered exceptional reviews from renowned publications such as Bon Appétit, USA Today, Time, Esquire, and Travel & Leisure. The Chicago Tribune even awarded Vermilion a stunning three-star review. Her expertise extends beyond the kitchen, as she has appeared on popular television shows like Iron Chef and The Next Iron Chef, and now serves as a full-time judge on the hit Food Network show, Chopped. Her contributions to the culinary world have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the James Beard Award of Excellence.

With a solid foundation in both Indian and Western culinary traditions, Chef Chauhan embarked on a remarkable career that took her to fine-dining establishments along the East Coast. However, it was in Chicago where she truly made her mark. Facing 40 male chefs, Chef Chauhan emerged victorious as the only woman and became the opening chef of Vermilion restaurant. Under her leadership, Vermilion garnered numerous accolades, including Chicago magazine’s Best New Restaurant, Esquire’s Restaurant of the Month, and Wine Enthusiast’s Best New Restaurant in the U.S. The success of Vermilion extended to New York City, where an equally impressive outpost was launched, and Chef Chauhan was nominated as the Best Import to New York by Time Out magazine.

In 2014, Chef Chauhan opened Chauhan Ale & Masala House in Nashville, Tennessee, introducing her innovative blend of Indian flavors to a new audience. Her first cookbook, “Flavors of My World,” was released in 2013, and she is currently developing a signature spice line and working on another cookbook, showcasing her ongoing research, trials, travels, and zest for experimentation.

With EET set to open later this year, food lovers and Disney enthusiasts alike eagerly await the chance to experience the magic that Chef Maneet Chauhan and Vivek Deora will undoubtedly bring to Disney Springs. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting new addition, where Indian cuisine will find its place among the wonders of Disney.
