Downtown Disney Debuts a Breathtaking New Sleeping Beauty LEGO Display
The legendary LEGO masterpiece featuring Prince Phillip’s high-stakes battle against Maleficent has returned to its throne atop the Downtown Disney LEGO Store. This iconic display has been meticulously restored with vibrant new elements, breathing fresh life into the classic scene.

The Downtown Disney Instagram account offered a first look at the “reimagined” masterpiece today, highlighting dramatic new details like swirling green dragon fire and jagged black vines encircling the turret. Interestingly, these specific stylistic elements are uniquely molded pieces rather than traditional LEGO brick constructions, adding a smooth, cinematic texture to the epic showdown.
In addition to the statue’s makeover, a new outdoor shopping area has debuted, featuring bins overflowing with bricks. Described as a dedicated space for “interactive moments,” this area invites guests to get hands-on, though further specifics on programmed events or building challenges remain under wraps.
Perfectly situated right next to the Monorail station, the Downtown Disney LEGO Store remains a premier destination for builders of all ages. Beyond its massive selection of sets and live demonstrations, the store offers unique high-tech experiences like the Mosaic Maker, which transforms your personal photos into LEGO art. It also proudly serves as the West Coast’s exclusive Minifigure Factory, allowing guests to design and print their own fully customized LEGO Minifigure.
