Disney has released the first look at the concept art for the Re-Imagined Coronado Springs Resort and Yacht & Beach Club Convention Center.

This major expansion and exciting enhancements will happen over the next 24 months.  The dramatic transformation to these spaces will make them even more appealing to meeting, conference and convention planners and those attending the events!

The expansion at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is already underway and is set to be completed in 2019.  New features slated for addition include a two-story grand lobby to welcome guests; a 15-story tower overlooking Lago Dorado, the resorts centerpiece lake; 500 new guest rooms and concierge-level suites; and a new rooftop restaurant and lounge with panoramic views.

A new boardroom, event lawn and two multi-purpose meetings rooms will round out the expansion.

Existing resort guest rooms are also being re-imagined. They will include new features and amenities that will appeal to the business traveler including a new desk space, beverage station and more.  Via a series of bridges and walkways passing through an island oasis guest will be able to conveniently get from area to area.

2018 will see the expansion of Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts including a 28,000-square-foot expansion of the convention center.  This new convention area will also include an 16,000-square-foot ballroom that can be divided into eight breakout rooms. The expansion will also include three pre-function areas and two distinct gathering rotundas providing unique networking spaces for attendees to relax and reconnect.

Changes are also coming to the dining options at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.  These include a new concept at the former Captain’s Grille, a re-imagined lobby lounge, and The Market at Ale & Compass. The market will feature a merchandise area and casual seating for 28 guests.  Captain’s Grille will become Ale & Compass and includes a transformed lobby lounge and a new interior that expands to 58 seats.
