During Disney’s 2020 Investors Day, some major announcements were made. One of those announcements was that Raya and the Last Dragon will come to Disney+ and theaters at the same time!
Disney’s new animated feature will come to theaters and Disney+ on March 5, 2021. Just like with Mulan, Raya and the Last Dragon will be part of Disney+ Premiere Access.
Disney+ Premiere Access for Mulan was an extra $30. There is no news yet what the price will be for Raya. Disney posted the following to Twitter:
“Welcome to the Kingdom of Kumandra. Raya and the Last Dragon is coming to theaters and on #DisneyPlus with Premier Access on March 5, 2021. #DisneyRaya”

The official description of Raya and the Last Dragon is:
“As an evil force threatens the kingdom of Kumandra, it is up to warrior Raya, and her trusty steed Tuk Tuk, to leave their Heart Lands home and track down the last dragon to help stop the villainous Druun”
Not all new Disney movies premiering on Disney+ will have an extra upcharge. Disney’s Pixar’s Soul will premiere on Disney+ Christmas Day with no extra fee.
