The hot summer nights are about to get much hotter, as Hollywood Records band R5 releases their music video for “Pass Me By,” the new single from the band’s upcoming debut album, Louder. The video is set for an Aug. 29 world premiere on VEVO and the Disney Channel, with the single available at iTunes and all digital outlets August 20. Fans who pre-order the album at iTunes will get the new single instantly.

In advance of the Sept. 24 release of Louder, R5 will perform “Pass Me By” Monday, Sept. 2 on Good Morning America, their first-ever national TV performance. The band will also appear on MTV’s “10 on Top,” a countdown show listing the top 10 most talked-about celebrities and trending topics of the week, Sept. 7.

Directed by Ryan Pallota and shot in the creeks, lakes and mountaintops of Malibu, the new video depicts the band – siblings Riker, Rydel, Rocky and Ross Lynch, along with drummer and friend Ellington Ratliff – rocking “Pass Me By” while frolicking in canyon waterfalls and pools. As twilight fades and the stars come out, Ross, Riker and Rydel each find a touch of romance. “It was the most fun ever,” said Rydel of the 14-hour shoot. “We got to run around all day, swim and rope-swing. My favorite scene was when we were climbing on the waterfall.” Fans got an exclusive first look of the video by Tweeting about the album and posting the album cover to Facebook through the band’s official website (www.R5rocks.com).

“Pass Me By” is the first single off Louder, R5′s highly anticipated album debut. Produced by Emanuel “Eman” Kiriakou and Andrew Goldstein for Mod Squad Music Inc., and co-written by the band, the album includes 11 tracks: “Pass Me By,” If I Can’t Be With You,” “Forget About You,” “Ain’t No Way We’re Going Home,” “Love Me Like That,” “One Last Dance,” and “Cali Girls,” “One Last Dance,” and four tracks from the band’s Loud EP from earlier this year, including “I Want U Bad,” “Fallin’ for You,” “Here Comes Forever” and the title track. The digital deluxe release will include special acoustic versions of “Loud,” “Fallin’ for You,” “I Want U Bad,” “Here Comes Forever.”

R5 is wasting no time prepping the album’s worldwide launch. A new 5-part VEVO series, “R5 on R5,” premieres Sept. 5. For the series, cameras followed the band earlier this year as they traveled across the United States, Australia, England and France, where they performed a string of sold-out concerts. New “R5 on R5″ webisodes will run every Thursday through October 3.

R5 is rapidly emerging as the band to watch this year. Originally from Littleton, Colo., the L.A.-based band is comprised of siblings Riker (bass/vocals), Ross (guitar/vocals), Rocky (guitar/vocals) and Rydel Lynch (keyboard/vocals); along with friend Ellington “Ratliff” (drums/vocals).

Ross also starred in the hit 2013 Disney Channel Original Movie Teen Beach Movie, the soundtrack album which hit the #2 spot on the iTunes overall album chart and #3 on the Billboard 200, becoming the first non-sequel TV movie soundtrack to debut Top 10 on the chart since 2008’s Camp Rock soundtrack. The soundtrack is currently in its fifth consecutive week in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Earlier this year, R5 kept up a grueling concert schedule, playing sold-out shows around the world. Ross and Riker Lynch are already well-known to TV audiences, with Ross the star of the Disney Channel Original Series Austin & Ally and Riker a member of the a cappella group the Warblers from Glee.

To date, R5 has amassed 4 million YouTube views, over 500,000 Facebook likes, a million Instagram followers and more than 1.5 million combined Twitter followers worldwide, all before the release of their album debut.
