Disney’s Purple Martin Plush: A Chirping Souvenir with a Conservation Connection
We stumbled upon the cutest little thing at Saratoga Springs – a Purple Martin plush! And get this, it’s only $12.99! Seriously, for a Disney souvenir, that’s practically a steal. Now, you might be thinking, “Purple Martin? Sounds purple!” But here’s the funny thing: this plush is more of a blue-black situation.
Turns out, real Purple Martins have these super cool iridescent feathers that shift colors depending on the light, sometimes giving off that purple vibe. So, Disney nailed the realism, even if it’s not a straight-up purple plush.

They do these tours at 9 a.m. on select days from the Turf Club patio. But, here’s the Disney twist, the signs are a little confusing, one said Mondays and Fridays, another said Sundays and Thursdays. So just make sure to ask at the hotel to get the right information! How cool is that?
