Puppy Dog Pals Review

Bingo and Rolly are going on a mission – and we get to go to!

My boys were so excited to get their hands on the Puppy Dog Pals DVD (Available April 10) when it was delivered. We could wait to pop it into the DVD player and take an adventure with our favorite four-legged friends.  And it didn’t disappoint.

The DVD contains 6 episodes, each with 2 stories!

  • Hawaii Pug-Oh/A.R.F.
  • The French Toast Connection/Take Me Out To The Pug Game
  • A Pyramid Scheme/Special Delivery
  • The Go-Long Retriever/Pot O’ Pugs
  • Design-A-Dog/Ice, Ice Puggy
  • Hissy’s Big Day/ Go, Dog. Go!

Here’s a break down of a few of our favorite episodes!

In Hawaii Pug-Oh/A.R.F the pups take a trip to Hawaii with Bob, their owner and the inventor of high-tech gadgets.  The pups have fun learning the difference between “lay,” the trick Bob taught them and “lei,” the flowers around their neck when they get off of the plane. We meet one of Bob’s high tech gadgets in A.R.F. (Auto Doggy Robotic Friend), when Bob introduces his pups to a robotic dog who SHOULD clean up their messes. The pups and their “sister,” Hissy, keep A.R.F. busy all day! Let’s just say bubbles and robotic dogs may not be the best idea!

The French Toast Connection/Take Me Out To The Pug Game is the second episode on the DVD.  And it shows just how much the pugs love Bob when they travel to France to find him French Toast! And then again when they try and chase down Bob’s very special baseball that was “misplaced.” Rufus, a big ole dog, doesn’t make it easy, that’s for sure – but he does make crashing a picnic seem fun.

Bob gives the pups a look at some of toys from when he was a kid in Design-A-Dog/Ice, Ice Puggy. But when the pups ruin “Ruff Ruff,” Bob’s favorite stuffed doggie they go on a mission to fix it!  They end up in quite a predicament when it doesn’t go quite as planned.  In Ice, Ice Puggy Bob runs out of ice and can’t make himself iced tea (and it’s all he can think about). A.R.F. gets involved and sends the pups on a mission to find the best ice – in Antartica! And there is no mission these dogs wouldn’t go on for Bob!

My two little boys are 2 and 5 and they just LOVE Puppy Dog Pals. We loving seeing what adventure those pups can get into.  And my kiddos always want to go on their own adventures afterward, which I love!
