Production Has Begun on Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’. Filming has officially begun for the Black Panther sequel and though emotions are high on set, the cast and crew are eager to share more stories from Wakanda!

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige shared, “It’s clearly very emotional [on set] without Chad. But everyone is also very excited to bring the world of Wakanda back to the public and back to the fans. We’re going to do it in a way that would make Chad proud.”
Wakanda Forever is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia and will star Letitia Wright (Shuri), Angela Bassett (Queen Mother Ramonda), Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia), Danai Gurira (General Okoye), Martin Freeman (Everett K. Ross), Winston Duke (M’Baku), and rumored to be joining the cast is Tenoch Huerta in an unspecified role, also rumored to be Namor.

Black Panther 2 directed and written by Ryan Coogler is expected to premiere July 8, 2022 in theaters. A new live-action series, Black Panther: Kingdom of Wakanda is currently in the works for Disney+ and will feature Danai Gurira as General Okoye.
