Those driving in Orlando’s traffic near Disney World caught quite a surprise recently! A flatbed truck carrying ride vehicles for a Disney attraction is not something you see everyday!
The ride vehicles are from Primeval Whirl, which is no longer operating at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It might seem sad to some Disney World enthusiasts to see them going away. But we are hopeful for the future of Disney’s upcoming park plans!
You can see the attraction’s vehicles in traffic in this photo below.

Primeval Whirl opened in Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2002 and was a steel Wild Mouse roller coaster. It was part of Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama located in DinoLand U.S.A. It had cars that spin in circles while traveling on tracks, permitting the ride experience to vary greatly each time it is ridden. Last year Disney announced that the attraction would operate on a seasonal basis. But in recent months, Disney has made a change of plans. Disney confirms that the attraction is permanently leaving and will not be reopening.
Disney has yet to announce what might replace it at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We will be interested to see what new experience comes to the park!
